Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic product manager to drive the digital transformation strategy for GMO across Manufacturing & Quality. Your role involves engaging with stakeholders to craft digital solutions, deploying innovation and ideation to simplify processes, and collaborating with data scientists to deliver insights. You will lead proof of concepts for timely and data-driven decision-making, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders globally to address critical business problems and enhance operational efficiencies through digital advancements.
 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for innovation and value creation through digital transformation within the organization by understanding business goals, current processes, constraints, user journeys and business roadmaps.
  • Expected to think like an end-user and translate complicated product ideas into simple wireframes and flows to deliver the world-class user experience.
  • Responsible for understanding business requirements and As-Is process mapping for arriving upon a To-Be process.
  • Take end-to-end ownership and management of Digital Solutions from conceptualization phase till roll out. Aligns solution fitment with business.
  • Responsible for bridging the gap between business goals and user problems. You will also define and own the short term and long-term product roadmaps in line with the goals set by the business team.
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in existing processes, analyses process documents, workflows, conducts workshops & surveys. Prepare digital engagement action plans.
  • Develop comprehensive user & functional requirements, scope including conceptual design, workflows, and test cases to ensure that digital products meet the needs of business.
  • Define and prioritize features and functionalities for digital products based on input from internal stakeholders, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with stake holders including R&D, Operations, Business, Design, Digital, Data Sciences, CSV & QA teams etc. throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure timely delivery. Ensure adherence to Digital Product and Solution Development best practices and processes such as Design Thinking and Agile Scrum for ensuring optimum product and program outcomes.
  • Works with system architects and business partners to identify technical solutions and drive the development and implementation of digital solutions for business process improvements that are in line with business strategy balancing the value proposition and scope.
  • Drive product adoption and usage by providing training, support, and documentation to end users.
  • Establish key success metrics for the product performance and its features. Monitor and analyze them, user feedback post-launch; constantly look for opportunities for product enhancement and optimization. Effectively communicate status, outcomes, and business impact to leadership teams.
  • Leverage technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Block Chain, Mobility, Cloud etc. to solve business problems.
  • Identify Data & Data sources required to conduct the analysis, attribute model outcomes to business context. In collaboration with data scientists, you will design, develop and deliver various data science insights and outcomes.
  • Responsible for effectively managing projects within schedule and budget in coordination with implementation partners. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for digital products, providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation and utilization.

    Qualifications

    Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, master's in chemistry, life sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 

    Minimum Work Experience: 5 - 7 years of industry experience

    Skills & Attributes:

    Technical Skills

    • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management.
    • Experience in leading Digital Transformation Initiatives with proven success in driving and working on Digital Product development and management.
    • Good exposure to and practical experience in process automation programs, and data analytics projects.
    • Experience in process re-engineering and familiarity with principles of Lean management is preferred.
    • Expertise in use of Microsoft excel and PowerPoint.
    • Expertise in the fields of Automation, Simulation, Data Science and Digital twins.
    • Experience in Agile-based project management and design thinking.

    Behavioral skills

    • Reasoning skills, analytical ability, agility, and attention to detail.
    • Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to manage mid-to-senior level Stakeholders and a self-starter attitude.
