Job Description

Job Summary:

Designing of Continuous improvement projects in Quality for Improving the operational efficiency, Reduction of defects and incidences, and build a culture of continuous improvement in plant quality assurance and quality control.      

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify Areas of Improvement: Conduct thorough assessments to pinpoint areas needing improvement in QC and QA. Use tools like root cause analysis (RCA) and trend analysis to identify key projects.
  • Develop Plans: Anticipate potential issues and needs, and create detailed plans to address them. This includes setting clear objectives and timelines.
  • Quality OE Philosophies: Deploy methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), World Class Manufacturing (WCM), and Theory of Constraints (TOC) to drive operational efficiency.
  • Best Practices: Adopt industry best practices to build a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in quality.
  • Use trend analysis to identify problem areas and develop corrective and preventive actions. Innovate with new tools and systems to enhance productivity.
  • Propose and implement changes in Quality processes to meet regulatory expectations. Ensure a robust change management process is in place.
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices.
  • Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Standardized Approach: Develop a standardized approach to CI using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) methodology.
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to QA and QC teams to ensure they understand and can deploy CI methodologies effectively.
  • Manage critical CI projects at the site level, ensuring they align with overall goals.
  • Establish KPI's to measure success, regularly analyse performance data to identify trends and provide updates on progress and recommend further improvements.
  • MIS Updates: Guide the QA and QC teams to Provide regular Updates on key metrics such as cost improvements, total savings, reduction in incidences, defects, changeover time, and investigation timelines.
  • Comprehensive Understanding: Ensure a deep understanding of all QA and QC operations, including method development, validation, impurity characterization, and stability analysis.
  • Process and Instruments: Be well-versed in the processes and instruments used in QA and QC to effectively manage and improve operations.
  • Develop and deliver training to enhance quality and operational excellence.
  • Coaching Employees: Mentor staff on quality standards and CI methods.
  • Foster a culture of quality and excellence throughout the organization.
  • Waste Reduction: Implementing operational excellence strategies like Lean and Six Sigma can significantly reduce waste, leading to lower operational costs.
  • Efficiency Improvements: Streamlining processes and eliminating inefficiencies can result in substantial cost savings.
  • Higher Quality: Improved quality control and assurance can lead to better product quality, reducing defects and returns, which enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Suggest advanced tools and technologies to enhance quality efficiency.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce human touch points in quality.
  • Targets industry-leading growth and cost leadership, thinks big and takes risks to reach business aspirations.

Qualifications

B. tech in Industrial Engg, Lean six sigma black belt, green belt and pharma experience minimum 2-3 years.

  • Should have 12 to 15 years of experience in a pharma industry, Process Industries like fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG,) Information Technology (IT) or any process industry.
  • Deep understanding of Compliance, Quality, Operations, R&D, Supply Chain and business
  • Good knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodology & Tools, data analytics
