Job Description

  • Leading the engineering function at injectable.
  • Ensuring equipment & plant reliability to support production schedules.
  • Building team capability to minimize dependency on OEM’s.
  • Guide and lead the team on TPM deployments and governance.
  • Leading the maintenance efficiency program and engineering excellence.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams for seamless support, ensuring implementation & adherence to QMS.
  • Driving the safety systems through leading safety standards & safety behavior in engineering & across.
  • Accountable for R&M, energy budgets and driving energy efficiency projects.
  • Leading team for new facility commissioning, taking over and qualifications.
  • Leading engineering function during all regulatory audits & ensuring all time audit readiness. As a part of SLT shall improve the site performance
  • Trouble shooting of process equipment’s e.g. Lyophilizer, isolator, powder filling machine, liquid filling line, VHP System, sterilization tunnel, autoclave etc.
  • Mentor all site team on problem solving tools.
  • Overall responsible for routine, non- routine maintenance of plant and process equipment, operation and maintenance of HVAC, Water system & utility equipment.
  • To support project team for ongoing projects at site.
  • Implementation of continuous improvement projects, maintain, participating in equipment qualifications, calibrations and validations, maintenance of equipment manuals and records, ensure adherence to defined standards and procedures and reviewing of plant and facility layouts of quality management systems.
  • Maintain validation of ventilation, air filtration, air heating and cooling systems. Also, critical systems like nitrogen, compressed air, and water used in the manufacturing process to be monitored, maintained, validated and audited to ensure continuing process capability.
  • Ensure annual service contracts for upkeep of process equipment, utilities inclusive of   plant and facility maintenance.
  • Budget and financial control for operating expenses of process, facility utilities and energy budgets.
  • Coordinate with statutory, regulatory and government agencies for compliance with applicable acts and rules of electricity boards, boiler inspector etc.
  • Implement energy conservation measures and water management procedures to minimize waste and cost control and work towards sustainable operations and suggest changes in energy management policy.
  • Ensure upkeep of facility for all time audit readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to PMP/Validation & calibration schedule and to review all   engineering Sop’s and all relevant documents along with QA.
  • To extend technical support to other manufacturing units whenever required and establish normal relationships between consumption and relevant driving factors.
  • Actively participate in preparation, coordination and execution of project  concept note, project specific validation plan, risk assessment, URS, DQ, IQ,OQ, PQ, ergonomic trials, factory acceptance test, site acceptance test of  all manufacturing & engineering equipment at site. 
  • Selection, approval of external contractor’s agencies to carry out various activities like calibrations, validations, fabrication and other engineering services at site. Also the approval and monitoring of supplies of engineering material.
  • Review of team member’s activities/schedules for its compliance, like review of preventive     maintenance, calibration, building maintenance schedules.
  • Imparting periodic GMP refresher trainings to ESD team along with recruitment, retention, supervision and motivation of personnel.
  • Ensure availability of spares and consumables and adequate resources for smooth    functioning of department and implementation of maintenance management system through SAP.
  • Conduct and participate in internal audits and quality review meetings.
  • Providing training on site, Central, Global standard operating procedure and qualification protocols
  • Ensure 100% safety compliance as per My safety index requirements by performing Gemba walks etc. and by following continuous improvement programs and by supporting safety and other functions to avoid any safety incidents.

 


Qualifications

B.Tech (Instrumentation, Electrical, Engg) with 15- 20 years of experience in Core Engineering activities from Inhjectable backgrodud.
