Job Description

  • to carry out commissioning, qualification and maintenance activities as Instrumentation and Automation team member.
  • Responsible for ensuring to cGMP compliance.
  • To maintain healthiness of instruments/automation related to HVAC/Utility/EMS & BMS, Process & lab equipment.
  • Troubleshoot EMS/BMS, instrumentation & automation related issues independently.
  • Lifecycle management (planned maintenance/heath reports/calibration/breakdown/ validation) of equipment/facility and upkeep the facility/equipment for audit readiness.
  • Computerized system risk assessment, updating inventory lists, backup, audit trail, schedule preparation & review, time synchronization activities.
  • To read & understand schematics and drawings, develop the maintenance and troubleshoot guides.
  • Commissioning & qualification of facility/equipment/utility with respect to instrumentation & automation.
  • Participate in equipment operations risk assessment & root cause analysis.
  • Participate in equipment/facility qualification process.
  • Troubleshooting and corrective action of instrument breakdown or failures to find the root cause and best solution to restore the functionality back to normal.
  • Understand plant automation, calibrations, plant maintenance, process manufacturing, quality systems and regulatory environment.
  • Managing user access for automation systems.
  • Periodic time synchronization, manual data backup and audit trial reviews
  • Knowledge of automation and network architecture.
  • Routine calibration activities – planning, tracking and executing.
  • Digitalization initiatives – SAP, MES, CSV, Paperless, Data backup.
  • Work on sustainable operations like continual improvements and energy saving projects.
  • Work on proactive maintenance of instruments & software upgrades.
  • To carry out the process and equipment related investigations to incidents and support in implementation of appropriate CAPA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Automation, or related field)
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience working with instrumentation and automation systems in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, food, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of DDC, PLC, DCS, and SCADA programming languages.
  • Experience with calibration procedures and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of GMP principles and practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
