Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Supply Planner to support our North America planning team. You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of finished goods from manufacturing through packaging and distribution. You will be responsible for managing supply planning activities for externally manufactured and over-the-counter (OTC) products, coordinating with internal teams, co-packers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure product availability and service levels are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory & Supply Planning:
    •    Maintain optimized target stock levels for assigned products to ensure service continuity and minimize excess inventory.
    •    Analyze weekly and monthly demand using order and forecast data to adjust packing plans accordingly.
    •    Review monthly supply gaps and provide accurate commitments for Lead Time Estimations (LE)
  • Co-Packer & Manufacturing Coordination:
    •    Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure all prerequisites are met for product packaging at co-packer facilities.
    •    Manage co-packer operations to ensure timely creation, review, and release of finished goods batch documents.
    •    Create batches for US external manufacturing products and manage Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and material consumption for all US external manufactured and OTC products.
  •   Logistics & Distribution:
    •    Liaise with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and co-packers to ensure timely delivery of released finished goods.
    •    Ensure timely availability of finished goods at 3PL facilities for order processing.
    •    Generate Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) and follow up with 3PLs for material availability, resolving any technical issues.
    •    Execute Emerson Warehouse transactions manually due to lack of EDI integration.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    •    Prepare and maintain various reports including:
    •    Back-order shells
    •    Bulk report shells
    •    Bulk in-transit reports
    •    New product tracker
    •    Other reports required by OTC Supply Planning
    •    Resolve variances between UPS and DRL systems for OTC products and conduct monthly reconciliation for multiple co-packers.
    •    Set up product information for new products and maintain accurate data across DRL and UPS systems.

Qualifications

Educational qualification:  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum work experience: 3-7 years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, or related supply chain functions; experience in the pharmaceutical or generics industry is preferred.

Skills & attributes:

•    Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Excel. Kinaxis as well.
•    Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Skills:
•    APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
•    Proficiency in advanced planning systems (KINAXIS preferred).
•    Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and external manufacturing operations.
•    Experience working with co-packers and third-party logistics providers.
•    Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment; familiarity with Indian business culture and cross-border collaboration is highly desirable.
