Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional leader to Head Global Portfolio and Business Development for North America. This business-critical role will be responsible for shaping the future of generic businesses at Dr. Reddy’s by ensuring best-in class selection, prioritization, and commercial delivery of product portfolio. You will lead strategic growth initiatives within the generic (liquid and solid), complex generics, biosimilars, nutraceutical and OTC pharmaceutical sector. You will develop and execute successful business development strategy, forge strategic partnerships, and expand market share in line with the portfolio strategy.

Responsibilities:

Global Portfolio - Dr.Reddy's

  • Portfolio strategy formulation: Formulate the global portfolio in line with Dr. Reddy’s long- & medium-term strategic goals such that it meets global and local BU needs.
  • Play a key role in execution of the strategy. Lead and collaborate with IPDO, Manufacturing, IP, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial teams to successfully bring products to market in time – (new and the ones on CIPs)
  • Portfolio relevance: Continuous product portfolio evaluation and drive optimizations to ensure market leadership / competitiveness
  • Thought leadership and industry engagement: Interactions with external stakeholders (partners, suppliers, key accounts, regulatory, industry associations) to a) shape and influence policy formulation, overall industry thinking and b) portfolio stays relevant and innovate with evolving trends
  • Lead a diverse global portfolio team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high-performance delivery.

Business Development - North America

  • Lead the formulation and execution of a comprehensive business development strategies that aligns with the portfolio strategy and company's growth objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions, to drive expansion within the targeted segments.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with potential partners, distributors, licensors, and collaborators.
  • Negotiate and close partnership agreements that enhance the company's product portfolio and market presence.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team regarding market dynamics and strategic priorities.
  • Work closely with executive leadership, and other cross functional heads, to conduct due diligence efforts and execute successful transactions
  • Build and lead a high performing team of Business Development professionals.

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field is a minimum; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum work experience:

  • Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical industry, with deep expertise in portfolio management, successfully closing licensing deals.

Skills & attributes:

  • ​​​​Possess strong network including relationships with regulatory bodies, financial organizations, potential partners and stakeholders.
  • Must have led culturally diverse cross functional teams located in multiple geographies.

Incumbent should be willing to work in person from our Princeton, NJ office; willingness to travel (Local & International) as needed

Dr.Reddy's Laboratories offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined on the basis of role, experience, skill set and location.
