Purpose – This is a key role to ensure timely tracking and execution of all Apex approved projects and activities by liasioning within R&D sub functions and CFTs towards timely project launches. Also an important role within RnD to work with Head R&D on future RnD strategies.
Key result area for this role
The responsibilities of the R&D Project Management Specialist / Manager include managing the day-to-day activities in the RND PMO, providing guidance on PM policies and processes, overseeing project management of all RnD projects, and collaborating with other CFTs to streamline RnD projects and programs.
PMO Responsibilities:
- Collaborating within RnD and other department CFTs to streamline, prioritize, and execute projects.
- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and recommend resource allocation on a project.
- Working with Head RnD to provide financial reports and budget outlines.
- Be the single point of contact for the complete e2e process and continually streamlining the same as applicable while partnering with CFTs.
- Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
- Drafting new and improving existing project management policies and processes.
- Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
- Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.
- Working with Contract manufacturing partners and ensuring timely communications and project execution.
PMO Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification may be advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the industry.
- Strong leadership skills and an effective team player.
- Strong interpersonal skills to efficiently work with CFTs and different teams.
- Able to facilitate constructive discussions and closures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to details and technicalities.
- Excellent organizational and technical skills.
- Good multi-tasking skills.
