Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced scientist in Polymorph Screening Team in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) development with experience in screening and solid state characterization. 

Roles & Responsibilities

• You should be able to understand and summarize IP landscape along with IP teams and Identify opportunities for novel form
• You should be able to design experiments (which includes selection of solvents, co-formers, using the right experimental conditions) mostly independently
• You should be able to work with cross functional team to perform computation and molecular modelling with guidance
• You should be able to execute screening experiments as per strategy, perform characterization, stability studies, and early assessment of solubility for lead forms, document them as per quality requirement in ELN and document the activities in screening report 
• You should be able to coordinate with toxicological team and regulatory team with guidance to obtain respective opinion on novel solid forms particularly solvate, cocrystals, and salts 
• You should be able to develop scalable process up to 50g with guidance and generate material for lab, stress, and accelerated stability with guidance
• You should be able to assess novelty of the form with appropriate techniques

Educational qualification: M.Pharm. or M.Sc. (Chemistry) 

Minimum work experience: 2-5 years

Skills & attributes: 
Technical Skills:

1. Directly handled polymorph screening for at least 2-5 products; 
2. Understanding of organic solid state and screening techniques; 
3. Ability to interpret basic solid state analytical data

4. Exposure to advance polymorph characterization techniques, molecular modelling & experimental tools

Behavioral Skills 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with own team and cross-functional teams.
