Title: Lead – Analytical Development & External Partnership

Reporting To: Head R&D , Nutrition & Nutraceuticals

Location: - Hyderabad

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

PhD / MSc Chemistry, MSc Food Science, with 14 – 18 yrs of experience in analytical development department and must have worked on nutritional product portfolio.

Other Skills: Efficient in MS Office, Word/Excel/PowerPoint functionalities

Direct Reportees: Will manage a team of Analytical Scientists.

Critical Skills Required:

1. Lead the entire Analytical agenda and function for the Nutrition / Nutraceutical business vertical.
2. Create the Analytical strategy in line with the business deliverables while focusing on quality and timely analytical deliveries and seamless execution of agreed plans.
3. Ability to interact and lead the analytical partnerships with external labs and 3rd party manufacturing site labs to support product development team from analysis pov.
4. Possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
5. Ability to independently handle teams and coach team members on required development aspects.
6. Excellent oral/written communication and articulation skills.
7. Systematic approach and strategic thinking is a must.
8. Passion for people development.
9. In depth understanding of analytical equipments like HPLC, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Mozonnier etc.
10. Ability to understand analytical methods defined by global and local bodies and prepare internal STP for different product matrix.
11. Ability to resolve analytical issues associated with different product matrix as generally used in Nutrition and Nutraceutical products,
12. Should be familiar with analytical methods defined by national and international bodies like AOAC, BIS etc.
13. Ability to prioritize work and change focus quickly.
14.  Ability to delegate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning of analytical projects based on priorities and established timelines.
2. Provide timely analytical delivery for stability testing, test method development/validation, method transfers and other related requests from R&D formulation development.
3. Preparation and review of technical documents e.g. stability reports, method transfer and method validation protocol and reports, etc. 
4. Manage communication with stakeholders such as project leaders, product development, analytical teams and other business partners.
5. Facilitate productivity improvement through proper planning of analytical activities and resource optimization/ allocation.
6. Co-ordinate and follow up with external labs including training of their staff.
7. Review of analytical data for accuracy, compliance to quality requirements and completeness e.g. lab notebooks, raw data, system entries, etc.
8.  Review of technical documents such as analytical reports, method transfer /method validation protocols, reports, etc. 
9. Participate in handling and resolution of laboratory non-conformances with related documentation
10.  Training and development of team members.
11. Responsible for analytical methods and process compliance as per QA requirements.
12.  Technical expertise related to chemistry, analytical techniques, stability study assessment and advanced research technologies
13.  Ability to plan, organize and execute analytical projects.
14.  Actively seeks to innovate and apply new methodology and/or technologies.
15.  Excellent knowledge of GLP, Quality systems, SOPs, latest regulatory trends, and Global regulations as appropriate
16.  Technical skills related to data review, interpretation of analytical data and accurate documentation of laboratory investigations, NC and CAPA.
