Job Description

We are seeking Director, Regional Accounts and Health System Access to lead a team responsible for Payer & Health System accounts and assist in developing the strategic and tactical direction for the team by monitoring marketplace trends that could impact Dr. Reddy’s portfolio. The incumbent will understand the overall strategic business priorities of Dr. Reddy’s, healthcare market dynamics and the business drivers and operational aspects of regional accounts and apply this knowledge to account planning and account management. She/He informs and influences customer leaders regarding Dr. Reddy’s portfolio and value proposition and is responsible for ensuring financial and reimbursement confidence and communicating payer coverage with Sales teams enabling pull through.

The role will report into Head of Market Access and prefer incumbent to be based in USA - East Coast region

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, build, develop and evaluate a high performing account management team for our biosimilar and novel biologic portfolio.   Build and manage associated capabilities including operations, training, and incentive compensation resources.
  • Collaborates with commercial leadership and executive management to develop and refine the company’s Payer and Health System access strategy providing input on product and service offerings, pricing, and contracting.
  • Develop and implement contract strategies that create formulary access & coverage with Payors, Health System and GPOs while protecting ASP and the GTN.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in Medicare Part A-D, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, areas of coverage and payment.
  • Establish strategic relationships with key stakeholders (Medical and Pharmacy Directors within targeted payer plans, MAC & state Medicaid Directors), and educate all on Dr. Reddy’s biologic portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional field team to develop and implement strategies around reimbursement, formulary access, and product/HCP pull-through within the Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, and other Government channels.
  • Provide leadership and development to internal and external matrix teams to support strong relationships with regional Payer & Health System accounts.
  • Develop relationships and thought leader advocacy within the Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and other Government channels.
  • Attend key organizational meetings and conferences such as PCMA, AMCP and Asembia,
  • Review and analyze product performance at the regional & territory level and communicate payer account performance broadly with key internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that team members are appropriately trained in company policies.
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory departments to ensure proper compliance.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

Minimum work experience: Minimum 10 years of experience of leading teams and demonstrated success in account management. Five years’ experience managing Biologics products and medical benefit drugs.

15+ years of bio/pharmaceutical or other related healthcare experience required with a key understanding of current US pharmaceutical payer modes including 5 years of direct US Payer Account management experience.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Successful product launch experience in the US required with a preference for specialty drug launches.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, product reimbursement and product access.
  • Demonstrated experience in process development for coordination with HUB, co-pay, and other patient service providers.
  • Demonstrated skills in business planning and payer strategy development with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and financial acumen required to manage complex customer engagements (Pre-information exchange) and contractual agreements.
  • Ability to translate and compile data into comprehensive and functional reports.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated skills working cross functionally to gain alignment and improve business performance.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for customer meetings, conferences, and internal meetings up to 50%

The ideal candidate will have Payer and HEALTH SYSTEM experience with biologic and/or biosimilar product launches. and have extensive executive-level customer relationships. Candidates must demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
