• Develop advance microscopy capabilities in DRL supporting complex generics and differentiated product portfolio.
• Design and perform experiments, interpret data; prepare reports.
• Develop analytical methods and present it to other cross functional teams within DRL.
• Provide technical inputs in Formulation development, pre-formulation, and sameness study.
• Work with product development teams for a number of projects involving conventional and advanced drug delivery systems.
• Provide technical expertise in optical & electron microscopy (Malvern G3, PLM, Confocal Fluorescence, SEM, TEM etc.).
• Knowledge in Cryo-TEM is a plus
• Analyze and resolve advance microscopy characterization related queries to facilitate faster product development. deficiency response, and regulatory decisions.
• Work towards publications, patents, participate in conferences.
• Mentor & train junior microscopists
• Bring new microscopy capabilities in-house relevant to pharmaceutical characterization
• Collaborate with CROs, external partners, and academic institutions

Understand the safety and quality aspects

• Strong fundamental knowledge in physics, optics, and instrumentation
• Demonstrated experience atleast in two microscopy domains (confocal optics, fluorecence microscopy and electron microscopy techniques), as well as strong affinity for mathematics, image & signal processing, scattering physics
• Experienced in electron microscopy sample preparation for pharmacuetical materials that includes freeze fracture, cryo microtome, cryo freezing for products such complex liposome, micro/nanoemulsions, gels, microspheres, micron-submicron particle suspensions, etc.
• Adept in handling optics based microscopy systems  
• Should be proactive and operate with integrity.
• Should have a good understanding of working in the R&D enviroment.
• Should have excellent communication and leadership skills, and a good team spirit.
• Should be able to analyze and interpret the experiment data.
• Should be well aware of the SOPs, GMP and the safety norms to be followed in the labs.
