Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Team Member - Engineering to join our dynamic team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a crucial part of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving our operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities related to preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and improvement initiatives
  • Oversee external contractors and agencies, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Review and implement production operation instructions, including work instructions (WI) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Train and assist team members in troubleshooting and equipment commissioning
  • Manage instrument spare parts inventory and implement effective inventory control measures
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for instrumentation-related breakdowns and implement corrective actions
  • Plan and consolidate maintenance budgets for assigned areas, optimizing cost-effectiveness
  • Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and supply chain management to maintain equipment spares
  • Ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to improve operational efficiency
  • Support technical and documentation activities, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for audits, including SOPs, protocols, and machine history books
  • Implement Good Engineering Practices to maintain the reliability, safety, and efficiency of instruments, equipment, and facilities

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 8-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on maintenance and engineering
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar maintenance management systems
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of GMP and cGMP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead troubleshooting efforts
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in engineering environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently
