Job summary
We are looking for an experienced professional to conduct molecular biology experiments, ensuring transfection-grade DNA preparation and robust cell line development. The role involves assessing productivity, establishing methods for molecular biology, and collaborating within the cell line development function, to deliver stable, high-expressing cell lines/banks, generate quality data, and contribute to achieving business goals through successful process and formulation development.

Roles & Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for actively participating in experiment design, following instructions, and performing experiments. Your key tasks include keeping accurate records, generating and collating data for analysis and discussion, to draw meaningful conclusions from experiments to establish high-expressing stable cell lines effectively, leading to the creation of research cell banks (RCB) for development and campaign studies in cell line and process development.
• Additionally, your role involves preparing transfection-grade DNA, executing techniques with specified quality, maintaining precise records for troubleshooting, participating in data analysis, and preparing presentations for discussions in Cell Line Development department meetings.
• You will stay current in the field through literature reviews and attending seminars and conferences.
• You will design and conduct experiments to determine gene copy number and gene sequencing in cell lines for manufacturing and development, ensuring quality standards for regulatory compliance, recording accurate data, and drafting reports are essential tasks.
• You will also play a key role in establishing master cell banks (MCB) for different product cell lines. This involves participating in experiment design, recording detailed data, and interacting with development and manufacturing teams for smooth execution.
• You will capture data in approved formats, writing technical reports for cell line establishment and genetic stability, preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and adhering to safety standards.
• Additionally, you will handle laboratory consumables, raise service entries, and contribute to the completion of Installation and Operational Qualification (IOQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ ) for new equipment.

Educational qualification: A Master’s in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or other related science

Minimum work experience: 1 - 4 years of experience relevant to cell line development and allied areas

Skills & attributes:

Technical Skills
• Basic understanding of techniques related to cell line development, cell culture, cell banking and/or related areas.
• Understanding of product development in biopharmaceutical industry.
• Basic knowledge of molecular biology related techniques, mammalian cell culture, cell line generation and cell banking and expression platforms used for developing biotherapeutics.

Behavioural skills
• Ability to learn new techniques and methods, and manage multiple tasks in parallel.
• Follow established instructions and procedures to conduct experiments and functional work.
• Ability to document details and observations with high accuracy on a timely basis.
• Ability to adapt effectively to rapidly changing organization issues, structures and dynamics.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
