Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate working as Associate Director/ Director Compliance position to play a pivotal role in promoting a strong culture and robust processes for anti-bribery, anti-corruption, marketing compliance, global data privacy compliance, international trade compliance, training programs, compliance audit, and reporting. The ideal candidate should be a highly effective communicator and experienced compliance professional capable of collaborating with legal and business stakeholders to manage the Company’s Business Compliance Program.

" Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee, maintain, and innovate an effective compliance employee engagement and communication program for the organization.
  • Manage the Business Compliance Program in cooperation with stakeholders, evaluating effectiveness through key metrics.
  • Develop, maintain, revise, and operationalize policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory trends, prioritize legal and compliance issues, and determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Conduct systematic audits for monitoring and reviewing Business Compliance Program controls.
  • Respond to conflict of interest questions and gift approvals, driving standardization in consultation with Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Bring credibility and gravitas to garner respect from the executive team and board.
  • Thrive in a highly visible role as an external-facing leader, soliciting involvement in building a sense of ownership.
  • Serve as a change agent and champion leading the global compliance organization for ongoing growth and transformation of Company’s businesses.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

LLB from an accredited, top-tier school in India, USA, or EU

Minimum Work Experience

15 years of experience as a legal professional with compliance experience, preferably in a public company; experience as an attorney handling compliance will be beneficial

Skills & Attributes Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with US Federal Sentencing Guidelines, Sanctions and Export Control laws, US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, GDPR, and other global anti-corruption and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience driving compliance for complex, international entities.
  • Proven track record in making effective presentations to C-Suite managers and business stakeholders.
  • Superior analytical and legal skills, mature judgment, and innovative thinking.
  • Emotional intelligence to attract/retain top talent and enable organizational competence during change.
  • Proven track record of hiring, developing, and deploying top talent at all levels.

Beyond traditional responsibilities like cost monitoring and accounting supervision, it acts as a strategic partner to all departments. The Finance function is undergoing digital transformation, leveraging technology to enhance its effectiveness. It comprises business partnering teams aligned with different business units, as well as multiple Centers of Excellence at the Corporate office, covering areas such as treasury, risk & assurance, taxation, corporate analytics, investor relations, GFRT (Global Finance & Reporting Transformation), and GBS (Global Business Services).
