Job Description

Gross to Net / Sales Closure

  1. Preparation of month-end sales estimate calculations and ensure to minimize the gap between estimates vs actual reporting
  2. Ensuring completeness, accuracy & timely reporting of sales as per SOP’s.
  3. Preparation of closing schedules of various GTN components and ensuring the completeness, accuracy of Chargebacks, Rebates, Sale Return True up, Product recall.
  4. Preparation & Analysis of monthly Gross to Net sales reports & Customer trending reports to identify the exceptions & to highlight key variations.
  5. Analysing the reasons for exceptional variances in product realization
  6. Minimizing manual true up entries by timely rate upload in SAP
  7. GTN analytics & Presentation to CFO on quarterly sales performance & accruals.
  8. Preparation and analysis of quarterly profit share statements, identify drivers for variances and coordinate with external partners to resolve queries and subsequent payments
  9. Continuous improvement in sales accruals processes and exploring automation opportunities through digital initiatives

Commercial Insights & Ad hoc requirements

  1. Analysing the reasons for significant changes to the DSO & Identify the ways to improve DSO.
  2. Wholesaler Inventory reconciliation & detailed analysis of the variances to mitigate the revenue leakage.
  3. Responsible for validating the management estimates w.r.t revenue recognition and cut off procedures
  4. Support analytics/data requirements on ad hoc business requirements like SSA Calculation, Change in Contract Price & WAC Price, Price Protection 
  5. Timely support on information request from cross-functional teams & corporate

Audit & Compliance

 

  1. Co-ordinating and facilitating for EA/IA/SOX.
  2. SOX documentation and compliance for OTC/FSCP related process.
  3. Quarterly review and update SOP documents.
  4. Ensuring completion of audit initiated by profit share arrangement partners & customers.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent

Minimum work experience: 3-6 years of post-qualification work experience; preferably relevant experience 

Skills & attributes:

  • Knowledge of SAP & MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Fundamental & conceptual knowledge of accounting specifically related to revenue recognition.
  • Good analytical skills and eye for detailing
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical business, and product life cycle.
  • Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with emphasis on building consensus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with multinational development teams in a multicultural working environment.
