Job Description

Summary:

Market Access and Pricing Lead – Oncology NCE/NBE for Emerging Markets will be responsible for developing and executing market access and pricing strategies for DRL’s innovative oncology portfolio across all launch markets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, reimbursement processes, and pricing models in diverse Emerging Markets.

The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure optimal market access for our oncology products, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of improving patient outcomes

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Development of comprehensive market access strategy for DRL Oncology NCEs/NBEs
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders (BD, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Public Affairs, Legal,Finance, Ethics & Compliance, etc.) to deliver clear and informed access recommendations relating to data generation, payer strategy, pricing, reimbursement and value proposition for DRL Innovative portfolio
  • Develop and update relevant global tools: Global Value Dossiers (GVD), Global Payer Value Propositions (PVP), etc
  • Create innovative pricing and access programs to maximise asset potential and provide sustainable access to patients. Prepare and lead payer negotiation in close collaboration with country commercial & access leads
  • Enure Stakeholder profiling and mapping from Pricing and Reimbursement PoV, and suggest strategic interventions for establishing stakeholder
  • Assess the impact of external reference pricing, forecast net price evolution across markets over time to support country business case development
  • Support the local Market Access teams for adaptation of the core payer documents for effective value demonstration with local stakeholders and implementation of the Global Access strategies
  • Set up Pricing Guidance and lead pricing approval process for the relevant portfolio in collaboration with Country teams
  • Identify payer types & local needs (evidence-driven, budget oriented, etc.) to optimize patient access conditions for DRL Oncology portfolio
  • Identify needs for development of country market access capabilities and ensure training, development within local MA function - organize relevant workshops and taskforces           
  • Manage the market access budget to plan, to ensure maximization of resources to fulfill the asset access needs
  • Continuously monitor global pricing and reimbursement policies of key markets, healthcare reforms and measure impact on oncology assets.
  • Anticipate potential pricing developments and outline mitigation strategies in partnership with global and local teams
  • Compliance with all DRL policies

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Emerging access and pricing roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on oncology.
  • Proven track record of successful market access strategy development and execution in emerging markets.
  • Strong understanding of global healthcare systems, payer landscapes, and reimbursement processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
