Job Description

Role Purpose

The Employee Relations (ER) Partner will be responsible for managing end-to-end employee relations for the India Business, ensuring fair, compliant, and defensible resolution of employee relations issues. The role will act as the ER subject matter expert, handling complex ER cases, conducting domestic enquiries, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving ER governance through a structured PMO approach. The ER Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders while safeguarding organizational integrity, compliance, and employee dignity.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations Case Management:
• Manage end-to-end ER cases including misconduct, grievances, behavioural issues, whistleblower/speak-up complaints, and exit-related disputes across field and corporate populations.
• Conduct investigations through structured fact-finding, evidence review, and documentation, ensuring adherence to principles of natural justice.
• Provide clear, defensible recommendations aligned to policy, precedent, and legal risk assessment.

Domestic Enquiries & Investigations:
• Independently conduct domestic enquiries as Enquiry Officer / Presenting Officer.
• Draft charge sheets, enquiry notices, witness questionnaires, proceedings, and reasoned enquiry reports.
• Ensure enquiry processes and outcomes are legally defensible and audit-ready.

Statutory & Legal Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labour laws including ID Act, Shops & Establishments Acts, Standing Orders, POSH Act, and other relevant statutes.
• Partner with Legal for litigation support, documentation packs, and regulatory interactions.
• Assess ER risk exposure and proactively recommend mitigation actions.

ER Governance & PMO – India Business:
• Own ER PMO including case trackers, dashboards, ageing analysis, risk heatmaps, and closure timelines.
• Drive standardization of ER SOPs, templates, documentation standards, and escalation mechanisms.
• Publish periodic ER insights highlighting trends, repeat issues, and preventive actions.

Stakeholder & Leadership Advisory:
• Act as ER advisor to business leaders and managers, coaching them on disciplinary processes, employee conduct, and risk-aware people decisions.
• Support sensitive people actions, restructurings, and organizational changes with an ER and compliance lens.

Capability Building & Prevention:
• Conduct ER and investigation capability sessions for people managers.
• Identify systemic ER themes and drive preventive interventions to minimize recurrence.


Qualifications

MBA / LLB with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
