Job Description

We are seeking a Lead/Director, Supply Planning to lead the supply planning team for internal and external products within the NAG Supply Chain Management team to ensure optimal supply availability, minimize backorder and maximize revenues. Based in Princeton, NJ, the role will report to the Head of Demand and Supply Planning.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for leading, developing and directing the supply planning team to ensure efficient, timely and accurate scheduling of demand and timely availability of purchase orders for vendors.
  • You will be responsible for leading and directing teams to ensure all finished goods availability are accurately tracked and escalated in a timely manner for remediation.
  • You will be responsible for leading Monthly S&OP (Sales and operations planning) along with content preparation and Pre S&OP management.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the team manages and maintains accurate master data in SAP and KX and utilizes systems.
  • You will recommend Safety Stocks level and minimize COPE (Cost of Poor Execution).
  • You will be responsible for reviewing and processing all bids on a timely basis post proper evaluation from relevant stakeholders.
  • You will be responsible for conducting Inventory management, including tracking dead and non-moving Inventory to ensure timely liquidation and avoid obsolescence.
  • You will work with the team to ensure timely destruction for Obsoleted Inventory.
  • You will work with cross functional teams on new launches and ensure day 1 Launch.
  • Your role involves identifying and resolving Bottlenecks and issues in the supply chain process, developing alternate supplier on a timely basis to avoid supply gaps for critical A-class products, coordinating and communicating the planed requirements and tracking supplies coming from all internal plants and external manufacturers.
  • You will be responsible for working closely with sales and marketing to plan and capture new business and continuously keep an eye on market shortages.
  • You will work with quality teams to ensure timely release of products and timely closure of incident investigations resulting from logistics and warehouse issues.
  • You will be responsible for participating in the recruitment and induction process.
  • You will ensure goals identification and performance evaluation is conducted for the team.
  • You will identify training needs based on future needs and organizational requirements, providing necessary coaching and training to build team capability.
  • You will co-ordinate with 3PL (Third Party Logistics) and internal teams for maintaining inventory without variance, clearing all issues generated within EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transfers so inventory availability is not impacted.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in supply chain or related field

Minimum work experience: 7-10 Years of experience in related field

Skills & attributes:

  • Understanding of the relationships between modules in SAP and how to best enable processes.
  • ERP Experience in SAP-S4, Hana, Kinaxis, etc. (Experience in SAP is a must).
  • Good understanding of planning process, general business practice and inventory control.
  • Excel Proficiency is a must.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and deliverables at the same time.
  • People management skills preferred.
  • Ability to work cross functionally.
