Job Description

Key responsibilities:

Month and Quarter closure activities

  • Provisions, Inter-company debit notes accounting and payment
  • Merchant trading transactions – accounting and payment related control around MTT;
  • Review  of Balance Sheet schedules
  • Quarterly AR review.
  • Review of GL balances, ageing analysis, reason for pendency, details of balances
  • Impairment testing

Subsidiary Accounting

  • Review of Accounting, Preparing Debit notes, AR, Notes to Accounts of Japan Entity on periodic basis.

Statutory, SOX & Internal Audit Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with Statutory, Internal, SOX and Other audits requirements. Ensure updated SOX documents. Facilitate closure of IA points of operational team.
  • Submission of FSCP, Compliance checklists and responding to SOX and Internal audit queries.
  • Ensuring Credit Management

Advance tax projections

  • Provide Advance tax workings to tax team Quarterly

Order book Analysis

  • Regular monitoring of the order book trend; 
  • Ensuring Pricing controls are in place and supporting business with Analytics on API products.  

OPEX Management:

  • Play a key role in preparation of annul budget, latest estimates.
  • Co- ordinate with stakeholders,  identify cost management opportunities and built cost saving ideas.
  • Closely monitor the expenses and ensure actuals are within plan and provide insights with specific data analysis and budget vs actuals.

Others

  • Process improvements and automation projects.
  • Preparing Controller's forum presentation as per agenda.
  • Analytics based on business requirements.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: CA

 

Minimum work experience: 2-5 years of experience

 

Skills & attributes:

  • Proficiency in preparing and analysing financial reports, such as P&L statements, balance sheets, MIS, and cash flow statements.
  • Advanced knowledge in using SAP or similar ERP systems for financial reporting, month-end closure, and uploads.
  • Ability to support and validate business proposals, tenders, and pricing strategies, including collaboration with leadership and sales teams.
  • Expertise in local tax laws, transfer pricing, and compliance requirements, Payroll Taxes, GST, and SOX controls.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with senior leadership, finance and business heads, sales teams, external statutory agencies, and auditors.
  • High level of attention to detail for ensuring precision and reliability in all tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to support strategic decision-making through detailed analysis and insights
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Power Bi and copilot.
