Roles & Responsibilities

1. To conduct analysis of IP/FP/Stability/PV samples as allotted by the Group leader.
2. Responsible for SAP activities and ROA preparation.
3. Reviewing analytical records and raw data against Specification and STP.
4. To ensure that the documentation done is online and error free.
5. To ensure the correctness of the document before submitting it for the review of Group Leader.
6. To ensure that only calibrated instruments/ equipment are used for analysis.
7. To ensure that only valid reference standards are used for analysis.
8. To ensure that the SOP / STP / reference standards are placed at their designated                            place after completion of the analysis.
9. To ensure that the instruments / equipment are used with utmost care and as instructed in the relevant SOP.
10. To ensure that the instruments / equipment are cleaned before & after analysis.
11. To ensure that all Safety precautions and procedures are followed while conducting         analysis.
12. To report discrepancies in procedures / products to the group leader in time.
13. To report Incidents / OOS / OOT in time to the Group leader.
14. Any other responsibility assigned by Group Leader.
15. Responsible for Lab Safety and follow the JSA.
16. Ensure to use the proper PPE at workplace.
17. To charge and withdrawal the stability sample as per interval.
18.  Stability study creation in SAP.
19.  Review the stability protocol.
20. Ensuring timely completion of all the training assigned to self

Educational qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field

Minimum work experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry

Skills & attributes:

Technical Skills
• Proficient in various analytical techniques, including sampling and analysis of packaging and raw material samples.
• Experience with the operation and maintenance of analytical instruments, ensuring proper use and care as per SOPs.
• Competent in SAP activities related to sample tracking, documentation, and data entry.
• Knowledgeable about cGMP, SOPs, and STPs, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to specifications.
• Adheres to safety precautions and procedures during analysis, emphasizing the importance of lab safety, JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Expertise in handling and upkeep of the chemical and solvent store, including the preparation and maintenance of volumetric solutions and reagents.

Behavioural Skills
• Keen attention to detail in analysis and documentation, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for communicating with the Group Leader, reporting discrepancies, incidents, and providing timely updates.
• Takes initiative in ensuring the proper use and care of instruments, timely destruction of samples, and other assigned responsibilities.
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills in addressing discrepancies, incidents, and ensuring smooth laboratory operations.
• Upholds ethical standards, compliance with SOPs, and follows regulatory requirements in all activities.
