Job Description

Job Summary: The Specialist DPEx Mfg Ops will spearhead digital transformation initiatives and process improvements within the manufacturing unit. This role involves driving value, digital maturity, managing change, and ensuring compliance with industry standards to enhance operational efficiency and business performance. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Driving Digital Transformation: 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive digital transformation programs. 

  • Lead digital driven business programmes such as Review By Exception, Product Robustness, Capacity Unlock, and Asset Robustness etc. 

  • Enhance Business KPIs (Yield, COPE, TVC savings, Cost) through AI/ML-enabled analytics and data serviceability. 

  1. Driving Digital Maturity: 

  • Implement core digital solutions such as MES, L2, OSI-PI, LIMS, and WMS. 

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all stakeholders, including Digital COE, Enterprise COE, and Data Governance. 

  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant implementation of solutions. 

  1. Change Management: 

  • Champion Industry 4.0 use cases on the shop floor and act as a change agent. 

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. 

  1. Business Case Development: 

  • Identify problems and create compelling business cases. 

  • Engage in stakeholder management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the leadership team. 

  1. Project Execution & Delivery: 

  • Provide necessary support during solution implementation. 

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure effective solution deployment. 

  1. Internal Customer Relationship Management: 

  • Build strong working relationships with business users, senior management, and other functions. 

  • Enhance user understanding and adoption of IT systems. 

  1. IT Compliance: 

  • Ensure the plant remains in compliance with all manufacturing core/GxP systems. 

  • Regularly review and ensure adherence to procedures during routine operations. 

  • Support applicable cGMP activities in manufacturing systems by closing QMS notification within time, providing resources and training as per the Quality Management System (QMS). 

  1. Operational Support: 

  • Enable the site to meet targets with minimal business interruptions due to manufacturing and engineering applications, including MES, L2-PI, SAP, WMS, and AMPLE. 

  • Understand SAP in the context of the PM module and SAP competencies, with exposure to L1 and L2 automation layers. 

  • Actively resolve L2/L3 issues and service requests related to manufacturing applications. 

  1. Corporate Compliance: 

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies (quality, safety, COBE). 

  • Pursue self-growth and continuous professional development. 

  1. Application Management: 

  • Coordinate site-specific installation, validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of applications. 

  • Ensure high availability of systems and proper functioning of peripherals (scanners, weighing scales, barcode labels, printers). 


Qualifications

Educational Qualification: Graduation in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory.

Minimum Work Experience: 5+ / 7+ years of experience.

  • Exposure to digital tools for manufacturing and quality improvement, including process automation and integration with MES and QMS is preferred.

Technical Exposures:

  • Exposure to regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) in manufacturing settings, particularly in relation to digital solutions, is preferred.
  • Exposure to digital tools and technologies such as ERP systems and data visualization tools is preferred.
