Job Description

  • Compliance
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with all Indian labor laws, regulations, and statutory requirements, including but not limited to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI), Gratuity, Minimum Wages Act, and more.
    • Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with changing labor laws and regulations in India.
    • Vendor Compliance: Ensure compliance by third-party vendors and service providers, such as payroll agencies, in relation to labor laws and statutory requirements.

 

  • Audit and Reporting:
    • Conduct periodic internal audits to assess compliance levels and prepare reports for management. Implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Manage the accurate and timely filing of statutory returns and reports, including EPF, ESI, payment of bonus act.
    • Manage PF and labour officer visits at our locations ensuring all registers and displays are maintained as per regulations.
    • Employee File Maintenance: Oversee the systematic maintenance and confidentiality of employee records and files, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.

 

  • Payroll and Benefits:
    • Administer and oversee the management of Employees' State Insurance (ESI) benefits, including enrollment, contributions, and claims processing.
    • Manage the payroll processing for apprentice staff, including salary calculations, deductions, and compliance with apprenticeship programs.
    • Administer the payroll for contract staff, with timely attendance inputs.
    • Death and Disability Benefit Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of death and disability benefits in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or certifications in labor laws or HR compliance preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR compliance and statutory compliance roles in India.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and compliance management tools.
  • Familiarity with Indian payroll processing, HRIS systems, and employee file management.

  • In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Legal background or relevant certifications in labor laws and compliance prefer
