Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic and results-driven Professional Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town Southern Subs and Garden Route, South Africa. In this role, you'll be the face of our organization, building meaningful relationships with clients and driving sales growth in your designated territory.   • Sell, detail, and promote products to targeted clients within your designated territory, utilizing consultative selling techniques and industry expertise
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all targeted clients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for strategic planning and relationship management
  • Personally visit and liaise with key clients to understand their needs, build lasting relationships, and identify new business opportunities
  • Implement action plans in accordance with the organization's marketing and sales strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Organize and support divisional activities, conferences, speaker programs, and promotional events in your territory and at the national level
  • Manage your territory efficiently, balancing multiple client accounts while maintaining detailed records and reporting
  • Analyze market trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for business expansion and product customization
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and cross-functional teams to develop strategies that maximize revenue potential and market penetration
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations that effectively communicate product benefits and motivate client decision-making
  • Monitor and achieve individual sales targets while contributing to team and organizational goals
  • Maintain professional communication with clients through various channels, ensuring transparency and responsiveness
  • To report product complaints (adverse events & product technical complaints) and medical information queries for all DRL products as per internal processes.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Life Science, Business, Sales, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Established relationships and credibility within your territory and with key stakeholders
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the South African pharmaceutical industry, regulatory environment, and healthcare landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM software platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret sales metrics, and make informed business decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels

**Preferred Skills and Attributes:**

  • Experience with pharmaceutical marketing principles and healthcare-related event management
  • Proficiency in additional sales software or analytics tools
  • Bilingual capabilities (English and Afrikaans)
  • Certification in sales, business development, or pharmaceutical sales
  • Experience in territory management and business development strategy
