Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Finance Head for overseeing financial control processes, period closure activities, costing, inventory management, operating expense review, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and guidelines. Your responsibilities will include tracking and closure of overdue transactions, variance analysis, budget monitoring, and facilitating audits and compliance reviews for the respective plant.

Roles & Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for analysing plant P&L, discuss variances and improvement opportunities with plant leadership.

• You will be responsible for partnering with CFTs on various improvement and saving initiatives such as OE diagnostics, LMS, Product cost leadership etc

• You will be responsible for running monthly governances to ensure committed savings are achieved and new opportunities get identified.

• You will be responsible for preparing detailed annual Opex and OVC budgets and review and with plant leadership & other stakeholders.

• You will be responsible for tracking and reporting operating expenses, comparing Budget vs. actual expenses, and preparing/circulating MIS to Plant Heads and senior leadership team.

• You will be responsible for presenting financial metrics in monthly review meetings, highlighting concerns if any, and facilitating cost sensitization discussions.
• You will be responsible for providing insights to planning team, preparing latest estimates, facilitating Capex projects evaluation and ensuring timely accounting of approved/executed projects.

• You will be responsible for reviewing slow-moving inventories at plant and discussing with operations to liquidate and minimise write-offs

• You will be responsible for collecting inputs for monthly provisions and analysing their completeness, ensuring accurate posting and reversal of entries, reviewing exceptions in GLs and ensure timely books closure.

• You will be responsible for monitoring and closing overdue transactions such as RGPs  and pending GRNs (Good Received notes), adhering to guidelines and policies for transaction closure.
• You will be responsible for preparing RMC (Raw Material Cost) spreads, conducting variance analysis, and supporting costing teams to minimize variances between standard and actual costs.
• You will be responsible for conducting perpetual inventory checks, facilitate periodic inventory audits, tracking closure of open orders and STOs (Stock Transfer Order).
• You will ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, overseeing related transactions and controls, adhering to compliance and audit requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet financial needs.


Qualifications

Educational qualification: AICWA or CA .

Minimum work experience: 7-10 years of experience in financial control, accounting, and operational finance, preferably in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.

Skills & attributes:
Technical Skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, cost management, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
• Expert in MS office.
• Understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
