Lead Business Development
Purpose - To deliver on inorganic and innovation agenda which shall expedite Dr. Reddy's growth in Branded markets (GG India mainly and some synergy to Emerging markets) as per the identified strategy for respective businesses. This shall include M&A of differentiated products / technologies / novel assets / brands and/or portoflio of brands, and strategic alliances, In-licensing opportunities, Out-licensing opportunities to take DRL India to top 5
Identify M&A opportunities (Brands / Portoflio / Companies) in Global markets- Identify opportunities that will provide Orbit change to the respective business. Screen the universe of the companies and the brands as per the identified strategy for respective businesses globally.
- Get top management buy-in and initiate the approach process. Submit NBO. On its acceptance, plan the Due Diligence process and get the cross functional team work on the diligence.
- Do risk assessment and forecasting. Arrive at the right valuation and submit BO. Negotiate with the counter party. Conclude the deal. Hand hold during the integration.
Maximize value creation from non-core portfolio through Divesments as per as per the identified Global strategy- Identify non-core portoflio and leverage network to seek feedback / interest from suitors.
- Seek requisite approvals from CXOs. On its approval, plan the due diligence process, negotiate / execute contract and facilitate sucessful transition to suitors.
- Lead sucessful execution of divestment of trademark / technology / commercial right as per identified strategy of respective businessesOwnsValue generated though divestmentsAs per mandate
Value generation through out-licensing in-house formulations as per identified strategy-Understand the formulations, financials, regulatory aspects for the product
-Identify suitable partners for the out-licensing transactions. Initiate conversations with the partners.
-Put forth our ask from the partner and negotiate with them for a win proposition
- Work with cross-functional teams to aid the partner in completing due-diligence
-Obtain a requisite internal approvals on the transaction
-Execute the non-binding term sheet and agreement Ownsa. No of partners identified

In-licensing opportunities- Identify the Novel products which shall be game changing for Dr. Reddy's in the focused therapy areas across global markets
- Get the clinical and commercial assessment done through KOL meetings. Do the financial modelling and patient modelling for arriving at the valuation of the asset
- Get the business case, term sheet and the agreement signed off. Negotiate with the partners for win proposition
- Work with finance, legal, quality, medical, supply chain teams to ensure due diligence of products/portfolios that are going to be licensed-in
- Hand-hold with alliance management for successful regulatory approval and commercial launch
Educational qualification: MBA

- Good understanding of concepts of financial modelling, Regulatory, Quality, Medical, Commercial and Supply chain
- Strong team player, who is able to work with cross functional teams in Matrix organization and, able to execute the deals.
- Patient, but with an eye on the end objective at the same time and focus on the generate substantial value for organization.
