Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Supply chain for China, CIS & Romania regions, overseeing end to end supply chain activities for the markets. The role involves ensuring adherence to supply chain KPIs, collaborating with cross functional teams across the markets to ensure timely product availability in the markets and delivering resilient, compliant and profitable supply chains through operational excellence, strategic initiatives and automation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for product availability in the market and enable business and country teams to achieve revenue & profitability targets for the markets.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing adherence to the planning process for entire product life cycle from launch to rationalization including change management. Overseeing the entire planning cycle from manufacturing to sale to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • You will be responsible for bringing strategic guidance for the supply chain team in the markets by bringing best practices and improving the operating model.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining high product availability at market facing locations with healthy inventory while optimizing inventory levels for Finished Goods (FG), Minimize secondary sales loss, backorders and ensure high On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance.
  • You will be responsible for improving forecasting process with process improvements and data led forecasting processes. Work with your team and India based demand planners to improve forecast accuracy and fidelity
  • You are responsible to manage working relationships with In-licensing partners and ensure in-time order placement, demand planning, supply planning, and logistics planning
  • You will be responsible for driving demand and supply review sessions with the Demand Planning team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand forecasts with production capabilities.
  • You will be responsible for collaborating with the First Time Launch (FTL) team to support new product launches. Evaluate business case for the launches, coordinating Demand and supply planning activities to meet the demands of product introductions.
  • You will be responsible to ensure timely custom clearance and efficient warehouse management and order dispatch activities in the market
  • You will be responsible for working on cost-saving initiatives within the supply chain. Ensure the realization of cost-saving projects within the defined timelines.
  • You will be responsible for collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, including Sales & Marketing, Finance, regulatory, quality, plant and other supply chain teams and in-licensing, logistics, warehouse partners. Maintaining effective communication and coordination to achieve shared objectives.
  • You will be responsible to bring procurement excellence for the local procurement in country. Also, review and monitor cost of warehouse, transportation, custom clearance and other country level supply chain costs
  • You will drive adoption of digital tools and automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy and scalability of supply chain and create a dynamic supply chain function in the markets
  • You are responsible to manage supply chain team across the markets in scope and ensure capability building among team members

Qualifications

Education Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.

Minimum Experience Required

12-15 years of experience in manufacturing/ experience in supply chain planning in a Pharma/ FMCG organisation. Experience in handling International market supply chain will be preferred. 

Skills & attributes Technical Skills

  • Broad understanding of the Indian Pharma industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Experience in new product launches and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with cost-saving initiatives and project management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Basic understanding of finance, logistics, International business trade parameters.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office.
