Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Analytical Specialist in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) MSc business for employing advanced analytical techniques to characterize and elucidate the structure and properties of various materials at a molecular and atomic level. You will play a crucial role in driving research and development initiatives by providing in-depth insights into complex materials through the application of cutting-edge analytical methodologies.
Roles & Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for working on new product development, addressing regulatory deficiency queries, and leveraging filings. Your role involves ensuring the qualification of reference/working standards, developing analytical methods, conducting validations, and transferring methods to QC.
• You will be responsible for developing and validating analytical methods, preparing method development and validation reports, and conducting online sample analysis for product development. Your role includes compiling forced degradation studies and identifying unknown impurities.
• You will compile stability data for completed projects, analyse product strategy, efficiency, and cross-functional issues in Analytical Research and Development (AR&D). Your role involves visualizing developmental needs, understanding process scalability, and ensuring the procurement of necessary laboratory supplies.
• You will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), investigating abnormal results in collaboration with group leaders, and ensuring calibration of instruments as per the schedule. Your role includes adhering to safety and environmental protocols, keeping the work area clean, and maintaining well-organized documentation.
• You will be responsible to employ advanced analytical techniques such as spectroscopy Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Ultraviolet- Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis), mass spectrometry, Gas chromatography (GC), high-performance liquid chromatography HPLC), electron microscopy transmission electron microscope (TEM) and the scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction, and other specialized techniques to analyse and characterize materials.
• You will be responsible for trouble shooting for products from lab development stage to plant scale up using various analytical techniques.
• You will be Supporting complex generic projects by generating knowledge of Reference listed Drug (RLD) through reverse engineering and develop strategy to prove pharmaceutical sameness.
• You will be responsible for Coaching, Mentoring and training the scientists and members of the team.
Educational qualification: MS in Pharmaceutical Analysis/Post Graduation in Pharma/Physics
Minimum work experience: 5-10 years of experience
Skills & attributes:
Technical Skills
• Hands on experience in Reverse Engineering of drug products
• Experience in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Ultraviolet- Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis).
• Knowledge on Morphology Analysis, Image Analysis and Optical Microscopy.
• Understanding and experience on Gas chromatography (GC) or high-performance liquid chromatography HPLC) method development and method validations.
• Hands on experience in liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LCMS)/ liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS)
• Experience in electron microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
• Knowledge on competitive strategies for technology innovation and Analytical Equipment.
• Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and statistical tools.
